If you have acrylic lids where is the space for nitrate to do its exchange to gas and rise into tge atmosphere. By trapping it under the acrylic lid it becomes dangerous to the tank.
i have a 1" wide strip that is open.. the lids are multiple pieces the piece he knocked loose is the smallest one all the way to the right on the other side of the air gap
