Interesting, wasn't aware of this development. Just visited a Flowerhorn group I'm a member of but rarely visit, and saw they have a pinned some new rules they seem very serious about as they were almost deleted by Facebook, including: "Please “DO NOT” hold your flowerhorns against the glass (in pictures and videos) and “DO NOT” show parrot fish with your flowerhorns. “DO NOT” put price/phone numbers and or use these wordings : sales, sell, FS, $$, in the descriptions about your post."
So it seems the hammer is down indeed, though as Palmer Aquatics guy points out confirmed storefronts seem to (currently) be still ok -- all the local Arowana sites I peruse appear to be operating as normal, but I guess they have storefront status (as they are indeed shops, if even small). I also wonder if it's just a US policy or international -- groups like PETA aren't very strong here (at least in Thailand).
In any case this could affect quite a few people as the aquarium trade on FB has increased a lot over the last years, though I wouldn't have the slightest idea what % are avg. Joe/Mary casual breeders doing it from their house, and what % are actual FB storefronts with real shops.
