My son had a newt for about 4 years and then it must have climbed out of the tank through the filter, the tank had a cover. We can't find it any where, maybe the cat ate it.
How can you be sure a newt wont escape? I don't see how this one could have slipt through the crack to a certain death.
He wants a new one but I think we will stick to fish.
