Newt??

I'm setting up a new home for my 9 year old newt I plan to use a 10G aquarium
I plan to plant some grass in the substrate (soil) will thisbe okay for my newt?

i forgot about newts,isnt it the same dang thing as a salamander.See,we are supposed to have stuff like that here in cali but I have never seen one after 33 years of roaming these mountains,lol.I figured they were like bigfoot.

Most newts like a lot of water - are you planning on having a water section and land section with grass?
