Righttt i'm thinking of starting a new tank, but the question is what size do i go for?!?!
A local company can build tank to the following sizes:

Lengths: 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”, 39”, 42”, 48”, 54”, 60”, 66”, 72”, 78”, 84”, 96”
Widths: 12”, 15”, 18”, and 24”
Heights: 12”, 15”, 18”, 24”, and 30”

i posted in the CA SA Cichlid section because thats my long time inhabitants, thinking along the lines of Sev's or maybe Geophagus.
What size should i go for ?

And don't just post 96x24x30, i don't want to pay out more than i have to.
thanks

Well, if those are the options, I would go with 72" wide, 24" wide and 24"high.

Maybe a chocolate cichlid with some severums?

Well, you're always gonna want something bigger, so get the biggest you can afford.

Get the biggest tank you can afford. No way you'll regret the extra space. And I know you said don't post it, but I got a 96"x36"x25" Tenecor. So I'd say that.

Ha, i suppose thats true, over time i will probably want a bigger one!!
I shall get some quotes on prices and see what the wallet can afford!
Think i'm drawn to the idea of Geophagus jurupari. Getting stock in shouldn't be hard as i work at my LFS.

I would definitely go with the biggest size if you can.

I like the idea of geos and then maybe some sevs or other peaceful Amazonian cichlids. You could also add some Uarus, chocolates, etc. along with some silver dollars and/or large tetras

I'll put it this way-

I've never heard somebody say "I wish I had bought a smaller tank". :grinno:
