nexus filter system for saltwater

I posted the same quetion in sharks /rays with no response I think this my be a better place to ask my quetion .


I have this grate nexus filter system I have been planing to use on my shark pond.
it is for a fresh water koi pond, has any one used it for salt water ?
will I have a problem with the stainless steel parts ?

I already have the filter. I was thinking of coating all the parts with the epxoy paint I will be using on the last layer of the pond ,only if the stainless steel can give me problems.

jsshark1 did you ever install this unit? We've installed them in saltwater setups however with the upgrade in steel. Wanted to see others input.
