The Patriots and Randy Moss really aren't close to a new contract, although the Pats believe Moss will give them the option to match whatever deal he does receive on the open market. That makes sense because the clubs pursuing Moss will be limited because he wants to play for a contender. The most interesting rumor is Moss joining the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys can pay up, and wouldn't T.O. and Moss be interesting to watch, not to mention impossible to defend?

I don't think it will happen.......Moss is way too important to the Pat's.....Plus with I think T.O. is way to arrogant to let another superstar receiver on his team, there would just be too much drama..........

I guess it doesn't really matter cuz the GIANTS won the superbowl!!!!

I agree with you. I think they both would complain about not getting the ball enough. Plus I thought they said Moss wants to go to a contender:)

randy is not an important part of the pats, pats won 3 times without him and with no star WR's. and they failed this year. Brady- important

i semi agree with the rest.

I dont think the Pats need him but dont think it would improve the COwboys that much in signing him the have other things to worry about in resigning marion barber and if they dont its a stupid move on there part
and it doesnt really matter because the Giants won the superbowl
Pats are in a tough spot especially with Seau and Bruschi becoming old farts and they might lose roosevelt colvin nad harrison's old and losing samuels
i think it would be in the pats best interest to resign him if not at least keep stallworth hes explosive

Ok, I'm not a Pats or Cowboys or Giants fan so here's some objective thoughts.
I dont understand why people are saying "it doesnt matter because the Giants won the superbowl" actually it does matter, because this is about next year, in fact, the Giants winning the superbowl is what doesnt matter about this issue. And secondly, how can people be downplaying this! Your talking about probably the two best receivers in the NFL on the same team, along with Witten! Your crazy if you dont think this is a big deal.

If I were the pats, I would rather resign samuels than moss, although I wouldn't want to let moss go either. The unsung hero: welker!

oh the part about the giants is just because Neo is a pats fan and he trash talked the giants into the ground, the fact though really doesnt matter, i personally think it would be bad for the giants redskins and eagles in the nfc east
if you think about it though, they are lined up to get a sick wr in mario manningham out of michigan and if they dont resign marion barber they are screwed, why get moss when you have other parts of the offense to worry about? if they become a one dimensional passing attack pass rushing teams like the giants will destroy them
i think jerry jones could be stupid enough to waste money on a unnessary addition much like the yankes would do ( and yes im a sox fan)

Remember who you are talking about though, Jerry Jones. To compare Mario Manningham to Randy Moss is crazy though. I understand your point about filling other holes, but if you roll out on the field with TO, Randy Moss, and Jason Witten, it just got a whole lot easier to rush the ball, no matter who's back there. And there is a good crop of running backs coming in this draft.
