i notices lately lots of eastern seaboard fellow MFKers' looking for NGTs? i haven't seen them for sell for a while now.. anyone know what's the reason behind it? last few i brought was from Jeff Rapps.. and that was 3yrs ago..

most shops wont import them as they kill each other most of the time if kept in the same tank

the shop needs to order a lot to get the price down and dont want to put 1 in each tank

i have seen them on lists

They seem to be more common on the westcoast, and they seem to be more rare on the eastcoast.

Agreed,I don't know exactly why this is but when they are available it is usually the west coast vendors who have them for sale.

i know.. most of the time they sell here in the east coast are ITs, and NTTs.. haven't seen any LFS sell them..see lots of them pop up in cali vendors.. guess we have to get a list of MFKers and creat a big order list to the vendors..

They all originate from SoCal. 99 out of 100 times a NGT is offered, it is Souther California. A LFS near my city in Portland, Oregon has been getting them from a middle man which is derived from SoCal I'm sure. So, I picked up two out of the 4 that came in.

To add.... It's not like there are many datnoids or NGT at LFS in Los Angeles or San Jose region. Don't get me wrong, it's more accessible but not necessarily easy. I'm there a couple times a year for vacay and my LFS runs. I've seen more "Asian Jardinis" or Fly River Turtles than I've seen NGT.

I know NGTs are not of a high demand than "Golden Jars" or FRTs. I assum that ITs and NTTs r easier to sell than NGTs. Since NGTs will get a higher price.

That is true now that I think about it. It is based off of demand. It's not like people are persistently asking for ngt. I see them fall in the same category as leichardti aros. Harder to get, not as much in demand, therefore, exposure - demand is less frequent.

asian jardinis haha funny
I have seen some ngts in my are but also not in lfs
