NGT always been my favourite but this one has been by far the hardest and most stubborn one I’ve kept

Bought it last September at around 1.5”. Couldn’t get it to eat anything for 2 months and then it would only eat tiny pieces of raw prawn. Even then just one or two little pieces only at a time. Then it would go weeks without eating for no reason. Stayed so skinny-I was close to selling it as it was so frustrating. Personally I think the guy I got it from fed it only feeders. I tried all my usual methods to get it on pellets but no success ( I had a NGT years ago in England that’d only eat frozen bloodworms and it took 4 months to wean it into pellets).
Summer this had a weeks vacation and I never feed my fish-came back and dropped a couple of pellets in for the hell of it and it took them. Couldn’t believe it
It’s still temperamental and prone to stop feeding for a week or two but is just over 4” now. Hasn’t got the best appetite for a Datnoid but is pretty stable. Another inch and it’s going to join the 189G

Yes,nice indeed.I have just about given up on trying any more NGT dats due to their stubbornness to take pellets.

I very nearly did-but am pleased I didn’t
Can’t wait for it to be big enough to put in the 189G
I'm glad things are working out for ya.
