Nic growth rate

I've had my Nic in my 125g for 18 months and it has grown form 3.5" to 5", this seems awfully slow to me. In the same period my ebjd went from 1.5" to 7", six months later I added 4 1.5" geo iporangensis and they are all 6-7". With good growth from everyone else and the Nic being very active with bright healthy colors I know I'm doing my part. Is this slow growth rate typical for Nics or is he a runt?

My group of nics grew from 1" to 5-7" (depending on the individual) in about 9 months.

Thanks, I wonder if it was mistakenly identified as a male. Five inches is still smaller but 6" is average for females, at least from what I've read.

Does the dorsal fin have any black spots on it? Black spots indicate male and no spots indicate female.

Thanks, its a she. Dorsal fin is red and gold with blue along the edge.

Nice, the females are better looking than the males imo with nics.
