Nic with plants

Has anyone kept a Nic in a planted tank? I've been tinkering with moving my 5" female to my planted 36g bow front and was curious as to how they are with plants.

i had a pair before in a 135 gal. They like to dig and uproot plants. the only plant i ended up keeping with the nics are javafern which i had to tie on a DW.

Mine doesn't dig, but maybe there is something about plants that drives them to dig. Did your nics eat the plants?

They didnt do much nipping on the leaves but the roots were picked on constantly.

I have a tiger lotus with an extensive root system so I should probably scrap this idea. Thanks.
