this is one of my other tanks i have tried to base around a spacific country

enhabitants are 1 midas, 1 amarillo, and 6 neets,

Cool idea and would probably successfully work in a WAY bigger environment...but thats a tank of carnage waiting to happen there.

Those neets will whip up on everyone, especially if a pair forms. The midas already knows...and the amarillo will soon.

Sounds like a great tank idea. Check out http://www.cichlidae.com/ in the CA forums. A lot of people post videos or pics of rivers and lakes in CA. Some people on that site will base a tank of a certain river and are really serious about keeping the stock to that peticular lake or river. I think it would be very helpful to you.

it is an okay set up. Just wondering why the midas is so shy. Not the personality I expect from them.

he has always been shy, i got him from a LFS he had been traded in, think he has had a rough life as his lip is damaged so think he was trhe brunt of a few beatings
