What a fantastic start to the weekend. I came home tonight and saw babies at the mouth of their cave! I knew I had a pair but didn't realise they had laid eggs. Don't see many of these beauty's around in the UK, so mega happy.

So the babies are a surprise to you. Have you observed courtship behavior of the pair that babies are coming.

Female is always described as the prettier of the sex. But your male looks just as gorgeous as the female.
 
Great looking pair. I rarely see nics locally and the ones for sale are overpriced and definitely don't look like that.

I knew they had paired off, had selected a cave, and were defending the territory. Just hadn't spotted any eggs.

There were a couple of nicer single ones, but these came as a pair. Really happy with them. Hopefully the babies turn out just as nice.
