Uhhh. So for a while now, I've had a 8" JD male, a 6" JD female, and a 6" Nicaraguan female together in a 125g. All 3 were lazy and hid - barely swam.

On the weekend I was given a nice 10" albino Oscar. I'm not sure of the sex. For the first bit, all 3 avoided it's swim path. Now they all swim VERY harmoniously, but I think my Nicar female is trying to breed with it! I don't know how to sex an Oscar, but does this sound far out there?

Fishkeeping is my cocaine.

Why not?

Fishkeeping is my cocaine.

Oscars can't breed outside the Oscar family. Nothing is related closely enough to produce viable offspring. Hence why there isn't a hybrid with Oscars and anything

Its not possible. Nics tend to do this. Mine swims with and looks like she is courting a female syn I have. Nics are feisty and almost seem playful, so I think that has a lot to do with it.
