nicaraguense + synspilum pickups

i just picked up 1 x nicaraguense and 1x synspilum to go into my 120 with 1x satanoperca, 2x turquoise acara and 5x silver dollar.

is this a good mix? also, should i have bought more nicaraguense? i don't know much about them; are they better in schools? the guy at the store convinced me to get just one because then i wouldn't have to worry about breeding pairs. the nic was $20 and synspilum $15. i also have some small red-shoulder sevs that i'd like to put in the 120 when they get bigger.
 
synspilum and nics can be aggressive and may tear up your eartheater and acara. Just keep an eye on them. One nic is good. The store is right.

thanks for your responses. they are both only 2" so i can't base my expectations from what i see yet. the nic hides alot while the synspillum LOVES to eat. i'll post some pics when i get home from work maybe that will get a few more responses.
 
I would be weary with that Synspilum, it might do fine with the nic, but its a different story with the severums and other really peaceful fish. Just keep an eye on them, you should soon start seeing the occasional chase, just be sure to not let it escalate to a fish death. Good luck, nice pick ups!
