Just wondering about these guys cant really find any info on them. i've seen cichlasoma nicaraguense and Hypsophorys nicaraguense are they different? I used to have one of the latter and it was really cool but just died, so I went and got some real small ones that I was told are the former. what is the price range on thes guys.

got a pic ??, maybe it's being confused for a managuense or motoguense , I've never heard of such a fish not saying it's does'nt exist just never heard of it..

nicaraguense reach around 8-10 inches long, great coloration, and have a mild temperament. in the wild they help wolf cichlids watch over their young, very gorgeous cichlid, slow growing typically and yes they are the same thing " cichlasoma" is just a general classification for cichlids

The first pic I got on a google search, the other is one of three 1"ers I got last week. I never got a pic of my other one, it was around 6" when it died.
They had 12 or so of these guys in a 22 gallon for over a year and they've only grown an inch.

How big were they at $4.00 ea.? The only time i've seen them for sale at a store other than the one I got these, there was a $40 tag, but no fish for me to gauge wether or not it was a good price.
