So I want to keep a pair of nics. I was originally thinking to house them in a 55 but now im aiming for a 75 or 90 gallon tank(I don't think it will matter much which one I get they both have the same footprint). Anyway, I know that nics are a "fairly docile" CA so I was wondering what I could keep a pair with. I already have sailfin mollies and 4 flier cichlids(trying to find a pair) and i was wondering if 75 is too small for both pairs. I love the fliers but I have my heart set on the nics.

Nics are very territorial. They do a lot of bluff and chasing but don't do as much damage compared to let's say the parachromis family. a 75 or 90 would be great for a pair and maybe it could work out with a flier pair. I've housed them with aggressive cichlids and were ignored.

Okay thanks I want to give them room to roam. The fliers really weren't in the plan but don't want to get rid of them. I have 4 in a 29 and I was thinking of growing some small nics with them but I fear that might be too much for the tank.
