I'm looking to have a nice shoal in my tank, something i can have maybe 12/15 of... Something bigger then cardinals, something that move in packs... non agressive etc... A species that moves around a lot and will be lively...

Looking for ideas...

Maybe barbs?

silver dollars..........if u have a big tank :D lol

i once saw a big group of congo tetra.....that was nice

or some kind of rainbow fish would be cute
i don't like the nippyness of brabs lol ? but i like the tiger ones look like tiny dats

i'VE GOT SIX SILVER dollars, I love them and plan on increasing the shoal...

i only have 2! which is naughty but they are both 5-6inch i plan on getting a bigger tank lol ..........they are happy tho they love eachother they are deffo followers

If you have a large tank silver dollars are nice, I like just the regular ones (not the red hooks).

For barbs I would recommend arulius barbs (Puntius arulius), they get to 4-5" in time (the males anyway), have very nice colours and the males develop fin extensions when mature. I have some in my 90gal and have no trouble with fin nipping etc..

Burt:)

it's hard to beat a big group of congo tetras.

buenos aries tetras are like congo tetras, but instead of being yellow and green, they are more red and orange, with a little blue. i like them better
