Awesome picture, I've always wanted to keep one of these. Used to get them around my house when I was younger. They were monsters lol. still see them here and there now but not as often. these guys hard to keep?
Its a d90, the only editing done was darkening the exposure on iphoto, they are not hard to keep, i plan on getting some more exotic species soon, you can just keep them in a plastic cheeseball container with a paper towel glued to the lid and some sticks. I feed her mealworms and sometimes crickets and moths. The best part is, if you find any bug or spider in your house, they will eat it
Still could not get an ID on her, she is Hierodula sp. unfortunately while she was molting yesterday, her final molt, she fell off of her perch. 99% of mantids dont make it if they fall while molting and those who do are very cripple. Her legs and new wings were all broken, so I had to put her out of her misery. RIP
