HI, I'm brand spanking new here, I saw the 50,000 gallon project online, was severely impressed/jealous, so now I'm getting a 230 gallon next weekend. Its 6 feet long, 2.5 feet high, and 2 feet deep. It'll be separating 2 rooms in my basement.

Problem is, I have no idea what to stock it with! I already have a 61 gallon malawi tank, a 30 gallon fry/growout tank, a ten gallon hospital tank, and a 44 gal terrarium full of White's Tree Frogs.

I wanna go for color and size.

Any suggestions?

hey there,

welcoem to mfk. You could stock with some dats, rays and a tig... mmm dream set up

what about Pbass? or better yet 10,000 neons and cardinals. then drop an Oscar in there. You could also do a very nice large brackish water with archers, monos, Gobies, etc... Or get SA/CA cichlids, Green terror, jack Dempsey, Red terror, Red Devil, etc... YOU HAVE LOTS OF CHOICES!!!

aro, dat, and ray combo!

Personal preference for size and posture would be the silver arowana. For color discus, and for bottom dwellers a little bit of plecos!

I would love to have that tank. If you got brackish, you could get a school of monos, scats, archers, and a datnoid or two. I would love to see a tank with a school of large monos, they are really cool.

hi welcome. duno 2 feet depth is quite small for rays... could house some of the smaller ones for a while though. think some plecos would do a better choice

i agree plecos are awasome fish and would get quite large in that tank.
