That is a pretty nice hump if you ask me. But if it is the fact that it doesn't look "natural" that you don't like... I have seen bigger humps on midas.
 
It's a symbol of their well being lol:grinno: ...I've seen larger humps on Midas also...they swim up and let you feel their heads :)
 
Maybe sad isnt the right word, but in my mind, fish are meant to move with as little resistant as possible trough the water. I mean like aerodynamic. And that hump isnt. I think its maybe limiting the swimming abilities of the fish. An oscar is nicer, in my opinion. Same thing with lionhead goldfish, although they are man-made , thats about the same deal.
 
Its just his way of showing "I'm boss". Lots of fish develope nachual humps at maturity and when in breeding dress. (cichla, midas, frontosa, and the list goes on)
