Nics color at what length?

I received 4 Nicaraguans on 9/4 they are now about 3" in length. They are beautifully colored but I was wondering if anyone know at what length they start to develop the blue on their face if they ever will. I know some strains don't so I am anxiously waiting to see if they will.

I've had 2 of them but not for very long one of them started to get more orange color at about 4 in didn't have them long enough for the blues I would assume maybe closer to 5 in u would get the blies

The answer was easy with google but with a bunch of reading and deduction along with your responses it sounds like 4"-5" so few more months. But its cool I think they look great as is.

your best bet is to get some wild nics. i had some about ten year ago and they started to colour up at 1 and a half to 2 inch.

That would be awesome but I already have my nics. When I have more space maybe I could add some wild ones.

yeah i`d like to have seen how they turned out but had to get rid of that tank and all it`s occupant`s
