Niger cat

I'm putting together a 240gal and just got a 10" niger cat. Most of my fish are meat eaters. I like to feed beef heart. No parasites and I can freeze and cut sizes I want to feed. I take out what doesn't get eaten before it goes bad. Question, will the niger cat eat beef heart? The Niger is probably a night feeder and I don't want to leave the heart in the tank over night. I figure if he gets hungry enough he'll eat it.

ya i mix it up for mine, i feed him at a different time than other fish, right b4 i turn of lights i drop in either shrimp, pellots, worms, and a cpl other things, then next night i feed something else. to make sure he gets food i feed when i turn of light other wise other fat fish get all the food. i would say for all fish if you can try and give a balanced diet and mix it up with anything you can get them to eat.
 
I'm trying algea wafers now, but he doesn't want them. I got him at Ocean Blue. That's what they were feeding him. I think he is just too disturbed from the recent move. he'll come around. I hope. He's also in a new tank with fresh water.
