Niger update.

few months back just purchased a smaller 2" specimen. Which is now over 6". They sure do grow.

The big guy has really started to grow again. Massively bulking outwards. He's now over 36" and is actually starting to out grow the big tank slowly. So I guess that only means one thing (Watch this space).

He's currently in a 8 x 4.
Although. I have means to move again and have something around 12 x 4 x 3 built. Space permitting. Although, I'm sure I could squeeze it in somewhere. Already had it priced up, and it within my budget.

I think an 8x4 would be pushing it for the Niger, the 12x4 would work. Wish I could have a tank that big

I fully agree. Worst case if I don't move in time, I shall set the tropical pond back up. But for now he's okay. Although, I'll see how he's looking in 6 months time.
