Does anyone have any pictured or info in these? I have someone who wants to sell a 12"er for $50.

not many ppl have these so you won't have any much luck getting pics...but i recommend PMing Necrocanis...he has many hybrid catfishes right now but im not fully sure he has this hybrid in his possesion.

I personally would grab it, being $50 for a cat that not that many people have sound good to me.

i want it but my 150 is only 18" wide and i dont want to keep it for only a few months

hey you can always have an excuse for a larger tank or your own pond ;) im sure they wont mind...whoever your living with...:naughty: thats how im getting away with making my tank/pond :headbang2

not yet, if i had the room/money for a bigger tank, id have one

well...you can buy it and then ship it to me...=/ lol im serious too but i don't think i can handle shipping price at the rate of the gas prices rising! i was thinking of getting one when the word came out the first time over here on the forum

Actually not many people have this Hybrid because they don't usually live very long, There are a couple that have beat the odds but for the most part they don't. They aren't a quick grower from what I understand (still faster than Alot of fish don't get me wrong), Have a very hard time swimming properly due to being a heavly armoured/speed cat... their backs don't bend like they should to get around with any grace like a TSN. I Think Necro HAD one...not sure if he still does though...something tells me he doesn't. I know that there is at least 1 member with one that has made it to 12" plus though... so thats something LOL

I have one but no pictures. It is over 12",seems to have stopped growing at this point. It has great difficulty swimming ,as the spine acts as tho it is almost fused solid ( seems to be all to common with this hybrid ).

If you are planning to get one, make sure they are eating, have a fat stomach, & are capable of swimming like a normal catfish.
