Hey everyone I would like to start a discussion purely bouncing ideas off each others heads. What are your lighting setups, timing programming, colors, and most importantly what is your lighting situation at night? No light? Blue, Red or something else?

I have colorful lights in my 45-gallon tank, which allow me to change the color to blue, pink, or red. I usually switch the colors every two to three hours, or sometimes just keep it white. However, I always turn off the lights before I go to sleep to prevent stress on the fish. After all, none of us would like being stuck in a brightly lit box 24/7!

As for my pond, I don't use any additional lighting. It gets bright indirect sunlight from the window, along with ceiling lights, which is enough for my viewing pleasure and keeps the fish comfortable, while maintaining a more natural pond biotope.

For the day I use an LED controller with a simple setting. In the afternoon it starts slowly, taking around 30 minutes to reach the maximum and around 10pm it reduces over 30 minutes to 0.

At night, the indicator lights of the power strip and the LED controller provide enough light for all the tanks in the room.
No fancy night lights needed.
