So I started culturing Canadian Nightcrawlers in my guest bedroom (shhhh don't tell the old lady). I plan in using then as fishing bait in the spring, but I hear a lot of members say they feed their fish with them. True or no? Are they really a good thing to feed to my Midas? I just fed one to my midas juvies and they went bonkers over it. Of course I washed it off and cut it into smaller portions, but it seems like the perfect fish food to supplement their pellets. They're cheap, and packed with protein.

Yes they are great food! I culture red wigglers. They can tolorate warmer climate a little smaller but multiply pretty quick! All of my fish love worms!

Well then that makes sense that my Midas gobbled it up like they never ate before. I'm just making sure cuz I'm using them as food for the Midas I got from rapps and they weren't cheap.

Matt (dogofwar) culturs red wigglers and can give you all the info you need about careing for and raising them. They are an excelent food. If he sees this I'm sure he'll jump in or you can PM him.
