Nightcrawlers in NYC

I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to buy nightcrawlers or red worms for a good price in nyc. I'm currently spending $4 for 6 nightcrawlers at a lfs. Preferably in brooklyn, queens, or or manhattan. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

its almost worth a drive to CT to a bait store, where theyr'e like 2 bux a dozen for night crawlers or invest in a small worm hatchery and grow your own.

Try walmart in the sporting good department not sure if they have red worms though
