I have been given the opportunity to buy a 3 inch Nile Perch from another member on the site for an extremely good price. I will be raising him up in a 220 gal with a GATF. Other fish may be added once those 2 get a little meat on them and can stand up for themselves as they are both under 4 inches as of now. Once they outgrow the 220 I will sell them for a pretty hefty price hopefully since large specimens of both fish are not easy to come by from what I've seen in the US hobby. But mostly I'm going to have fun watching these Monsters grow up and co-exist.
But here are my questions:
1. I wanted to know if there are any other monsters that grow slow that can put them with right off the bat. I was thinking fish possibly like Murray Cod, Red Tail Payara, or Bagarius Bagarius goonch catfish maybe? Any ideas are welcome.
2. What are some monsters I could add once these two reach the range of 6-8 inches? I was thinking slightly smaller Pbass or Armatus? Or possibly a hystrix stingray?
