I have 3 angelfish in my tank. Two are a little smaller, and the third has grown about 1/3 bigger then the others. 2 of them are starting to fight, and I am not sure how to approach this. Every time I go near the tank, one or the other will nip his buddy. They haven't hurt each other yet, but I am very concerned. They begin by 'kissing' and start nipping each other.
My options. Move all the other fish that are with them into the other 29 which will most likely overstock that tank. I could move some of the fish and make more room in the angel tank without seriously overstocking the other tank, and add a 4th angelfish. Don't know if this will work.
Other option: Move one of them to the 29 which contains 3 female bettas a 4some of danios and 4 berry tetras. But, will the angel decide to start nipping the bettas or will the tetras nip the angel?
Getting another tank at this time is out of the question. I have a 30 long which contains livebearers, but I don't want to move an angel in there for fear of any fry and too much salt in the water. I have a 10 with a 5some of dwarf platys.
The only other tank I have is a 10 gallon that is empty right now. However, I think it will be way to small for even one angel.
Any suggestions other then taking one back to the store? They pretty much leave the smallest of the 3 alone. Thanks.
