I have a 55g tank wanting to upgrade to a 75g soon. I come home to see a few of my pewcocks with ripped fins and scales missing on there sides idk if its from peacocks fightn with each other or my mbuna fight them.
Heres my stock
Peacocks/haps....
1x 6-7" albino ruby red
1x 5-6" hybrid blue peacocks looks like a lawanda
1x 6-7" blue dolphin
1x 3" ruby red
1x 3" ruby red female
Mbuna....
5x acei range from 3-6"
1x yellow lab. 3 1/2"
Idk which fish is the nipper but wana find out so i can fix the problem.

Well I'm new to the african cichlid scene, but I doubt it's the acei. Could possibly be the lone yellow lab or your peacocks fighting each other for the female. The best way to find out is spend some time watching your tank. Should figure out who the culprit is pretty quick. If you do have only one female peacock you may want to remove her or add 3 more. Just an idea from things I've read so far.

which peacocks are nipped? hybrid blue peacocks can be nasty.acei could be the culprit. Why so many acei?thye are more aggressive than advertised in my exp,but pretty.just watch and see!

I'm a breeder,so I would get rid of em all except the albinos and breed em.Also I would get at least a hundred g.Those fish are large and come from the 3rd biggest lake in the world.
