IMO nothing on the market replaces a water change

i agree rally i am not saying i am going to quit doing water changes all together
just looking for a little extra insurance that if i get lazy one weekend i will be ok
i thought it would be a cool product if it worked
mike

I use it in my tank with my goldies. I never had a problem. I usually do about a 30% water change about every week or two and I vacuum about once a month, maybe less. I was my filters out about every 2 or 3 days though.

If you let the stuff, mainly a phosphate I think, remain in the tank it will eventually breakdown and release the nitrates it has bonded with.
