My nitrate is sky high! Everything else seems to be good. I have 2 fx5's running in a 180g. Took them out, cleaned them and 35% waterchange every 2 days, also bought API NITRA-ZORB to help out. Any suggestions?

More water changes. If you have 200 nitrates, and you change only 35 % of your water, you still have over 100 nitrates. Daily 50% (or every 12 hours) will help to put a real dent in your nitrate levels.
If changing 50% of your water per week doesn't do an efficient job at keeping your nitrates down, then I would suggest getting a bigger tank or lowering your stock.

Checking your tap water is an excellent idea! I recently had this same problem after coming home from a vacation (obviously I wasn't there to do water changes) and after back to back water changes, my nitrates were still very high. I tested my tap water, and unfortunately for me, the tap had zero nitrates...so they were just that high from my absence!
