Is it just me, or does any body else think it would be really cool to have an electronic nitrate meter? Anybody here have one? Know where I could get one for a decent price?

i've always wondered this

Hmm those look to be exactly what I was thinking of...all thought they are only for saltwater, and 200$ would be a little pricey for me to get that.

yea, but it's pretty much all i could find :/

I have been looking for a digital nitrate meter for quite sometime. ( I am colour blind so I connot read the liquid reagent test kits or the test strips)

There are few companies (such as Hannah) that make colorimeters that will measure nitrates in water. However the prices of these units are high ($300-$500) and you still need to purchase liquid reagent. I never bought one, as I think this is too expensive for what I will be using it for.

I did recently discover that Horiba makes a portable hand held meter that will measure nitre in water without a liquid reagent. This seems to be the most promissing meter I discovered so far. But it's still too expensive for my taste.

It is primarily designed for agricultural use, but...
