Nitrates beware!

Need to ask you or anyone else on here I to believe in this method but wanted to know if NEPTHYTIS PLANT would work ??? I tired looking up some info on them to see if they are even toxic to the water but there is no such info even online just states origin and that its a great house plant LOL
Sadly I don't know much about plants maybe someone else can help

Just curious where ya got it and how much$$$ I wanted to try but at $6 per stalk at lows I decided it wasn't worth it
Lucky bamboo direct has them for .40¢ each

Pretty neat. I thought bout adding some plants too to keep nitrates down
