Hi i have a very odd question that has never been posted before on here or in the history of the internet for that matter. I googled repeatedly.

Say my Seachem Saltwater Nitrates test kit both bottles #1 and #2 were to be exposed to temperatures (in degrees Fahrenheit) up to and possibly exceeding 160 degrees over a period on and off (10 hours on, 14 hours off) of a full week. Is my test kit still usable and accurate? Any ill-effects? It is only 2 months old and hardly used. Best by July 2016 date on the bottom.

Where have you been recently where it has been 160 let alone for such an extended period of time? An oven is to cook not store things? Even when my house was without air for a couple weeks it only got to 115 in july.

Hit submit and then saw your previous reply, this does add some credibility with the lights. While I have no clue how hot these things burn, I would be hesitant to put anything near them.

It wont hurt it.

Last summer I had a similar issue. Seeing as how we love in AZ. 130* is a normal temp in the summer. Well I had ordered the same test kit online. And the UPS person just placed my package on the front door step. Seeing as how I use the garage as my front door. Om guessing the package was there for 3 days... give or take.

I contacted the makers of the test kit. And they said it was fine. So... I tested my test kit with my friends. And everything was fine.
