Did you mean nitrates ? if so i know the golden pothos i think that's how they are spelled aka devil ivy can absorb these like a sponge after the initial shock on transporting it so it might take up to a month before it starts pulling them out
bacteria help Nitrite and ammonia. Any bio filter help hold waste water and bacteria get there.
i Though you means nitrate. That plants can help. most ppl call Pothos can help a lots nitrate.
any aquatic plant will help with nitrates. If your going for nitrate removal go for quick growing plants like anacharis, hornwort, water wisteria, cabomba, ect. By the way, I've been thinking about giving my hand a go at pothos. I've tried english ivy, but it didn't work so well. For those of you who are recommending it, do you just stick one end in the water, and it grows? I've only tried aquatic plants, so I'm not entirely sure if you have to pot the pothos, or just let it grow hydroponically
