Hey guys, i need help figuring this crap out! :irked:

So like a week ago my Nitrite levels were at 10ppm in the danger zone. I quickly did a 50% water change. Every day since then i have been doing a 30-50% water change and using AmQuel+. I just did another one today at 50% and doubled the dosage of AmQuel and now the Nitrite is at .5-1 ppm in the caution/stress zone.

I tested for Ammonia and the levels are safe.

I currently have a Green Aro and Albino Oscar in there. It is a 75G tank with the Marineland Magnum 350 filter. The fish are eating and swimming fine.

Any recommendations or ideas?

I also have a piece of driftwood in there, should i take it out and boil it again?

How long has the tank been established ?

So a week ago the nitrite was at 10ppm and now a week later it's at 1ppm essentially. Sounds like everything is going okay. Give it a few days and there should be none less.

other than that maybe add a filter/airstone to increase circulation
i personally would go with a hydro sponge or something similar so its both in one but some people dont like the look of them. If it's not a show tank i would go for it

Yea a few days ago my fishes seemed to be panting or gasping for air so i put an airstone in there and it helped a lot. Tomorrow i will do another 50% water change and boil the driftwood again. Thanks everyone for the replies
