It could be a young Paratheraps bifasciatus, although to be fair many in this genus look very similar as juveniles.
One of the diagnostic features of bifas is a patch on the upper flank; however, this patch is not necessarily present on young individuals. Below are pics of the same P. bifasciatus "Rio Chacamax", one at 2" and the other at 3-4". Time will tell what your fish turns out to be.
They could be synspilum. The synspilum I've kept did not have bars that extend as far forward as on your fish (which is why I did not suggest it as a possibility), but perhaps its just variation among different types that are available. You'll know soon enough.
