Hey guys so I want to pick up a new pellet to start feeding my cichlids. Currently I have a firemouth, green terror, and a salvini. I originally bought mini sinking hikari cichilid gold, but that is to big for the firemouth and the others can eat it but not easily. I then picked up baby cichlid gold, but it floats and so far I haven't had any luck getting my guys to go for it. I saw that NLS has sinking pellets in 1mm size so that would be perfect. I am thinking either thera a or the cichlid formula. This will be their staple with some omega one flake or frozen food every now and then thrown in. I saw that the thera a has more protein, fat, and fiber in it than the cichlid forumla, but I wasnt sure what it was about the cihclid forumla that made it a "cichlid" forumula and if that would be better. Thanks!

thera A is my number 1 choice if I can only have 1. Because it has garlic and can cure and help prevent internal parasites. The food itself can cure hex if your fish is willing to try to eat it at all.

There A and algaemax are my staples

Whichever they will eat and is cheaper. Thera A won't hurt but you won't even be able to tell a difference in your fish.

Honestly any of their formulas will be fine with exception of gold fish, crustaceans, etc etc.

You're good either way. As far as I'm concern, fish don't access to garlic in their natural environment so why give it to them on a daily basis

All of their formulas contain garlic, TherA simply contains a mega dose in comparison to the rest.

While the various compounds found in garlic may not be found in a fishes natural environment, it has been proven in many studies to act as a natural immune stimulant in fish, which is always a good thing in my books. An interesting thread on garlic that I posted a few yrs ago.

Every time I have Baccala it's loaded with garlic. So I vote for There +A.

Every time I have Baccala it's loaded with garlic.
My wife is mostly Italian, so every Xmas eve I get the opportunity to dine on baccala at the In-Laws...........I always pass..........once was enough for me LOL

Three mentions of baccala in one thread, has to be a record. I love baccala!
