No heat?

I recently purchased a Coralife metal halide/dual actinic fixture for my salt tank as I am preparing to add coral and such...when a fellow saltwater aficionado came by to see my tank he said i didnt need my heater in there...ever since the halide has been in use, I've had no temperature increase due to the powerful bulb. I still have the heater in there maintaining a temperature of about 78 degrees Farenheit...I was just wondering if it would be ok If I took the heater out???

No, I would not remove the heater. Even if the lights were keeping it warm during the day. The temp at night would drop. Please ignore that advice it could cause major problems.

I agree. Just make sure you use a good heater with temperature control. I have a 250 watt halide pendant on my 29 and I still need the heater at night.
