no IOS on 5ft tk. cant use OHF.

on a 5x2x2 tank with no IOS. front 2 corners are curved and have a aluminium hood on top.

currently on a jebo 835 canister filter providing a mere 1000l/hr thru its basketed 3 stages of wool, ceramic rings and ceramic rods.

thing is, i hardly see and solid fish poop gettiing to the suction pipe. i usually feed Clarias Catfish, Mollies, guppies and Swordtails.

are there other alternatives than to:
#1 get a larger canister
#2 get a wave maker (cheaper alternative)

Btw, i am residing in Singapore and have:
5x 12-15cm Red Tail Catfishs
1x 21cm Florida Gar
1x 28cm Aligator Gar
1x 15cm Motoro Stingray
2x 10cm Senegal Bichirs
1x 17cm Ornate Bichir

What is an IOS? Also, you seem to have a lot of large fish for that size tank if it's 5 foot x 2 foot x 2 foot.

It seems like you already know the answer, but you need more filtration, more water movement, and fewer fish in that tank.
