No longer a planet???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What? As far as I know it is classified as a "Dwarf" plannet... what are you speaking of?

i seen it on the news.i threw my dew at the tv spit it all over and started crying.my father said he was gonna build me a rocket ship and send me to the planet pluto when i get 16.man that just ruined my day.any ways why is it not a planet

wtf is going on, A few weeks ago scientists were excited because they found 2 or 3 NEW "planets" beyond pluto, Now their talking about not classing pluto as a planet anymore. I think i heard their reasoning is due to pluto being to small to classify as a planet.... But i'm sure the "New" planets they found were smaller than pluto....

Yeah it lost its full planet classification so now it's considered a dwarf planet with the other 3 that were up for planet classification

How could they do this!!!

Now the line "hung like planet pluto, Hard to see with the naked eye" from a bloodhound gang's song has NO meaning!!!

Kids of the future will hear that song and say WTF does that mean?!

Isn't the new planet classification something along the lines of any mass that's round or spherical in shape? Maybe I'm wrong.

These are the new guidelines and the reason why....

"Pluto, a planet since 1930, got the boot because it didn't meet the new rules, which say a planet not only must orbit the sun and be large enough to assume a nearly round shape, but must "clear the neighborhood around its orbit." That disqualifies Pluto, whose oblong orbit overlaps Neptune's, downsizing the solar system to eight planets from the traditional nine."
