Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
This video has been getting a lot of attention on Reddit, figured I would share. A homeless man in Chicago, Ronald Davis, was interviewed last year for a series called Big Questions. He talks about how he isn't asking for a handout, he just wants a chance. Some members from the Reddit community have been stopping by and saying hi to this guy and a few of them are trying to find him a job. Its really touching to see people come together to help someone out. I know it makes me think about how the way I treat homeless people, they are abundant in Eugene, I sometimes forget they are people too.

A really emotional video

Yeah I know everytime I'm with my dad we always give money, but my mom gives out food for ones sitting outside grocery stores. There aren't many around here, I can only think of 2-3 people.

awwww this really gives you something to think about! i've had family that has lost it all and end up on the streets, and we just turn our heads and now i feel horrible! :/ this is the type of change the world needs! to look at some one like what they are, a human.

^ lol

I always spare some change when I can. you can usually tell the drunks and druggies from the guys like the guy in the video. i'd gladly hand a bum $5 if he just took the time to be sincere and thankful like this guy

but I usually give food if possible. one time I offered French fries to a bum, and he said no thank you, he don't eat macdonald's. he looked like he was on crack or something

Allways good a humble reminder, Chris.
