No more antivenon for coral snakes!

I think any field herper or coral keeper needs to read this article. it is about how no one in the states is producing any AV for coral snakes and that the AV that is available in Mexico is not FDA approved.

I saw that, pretty scary thought, especially if you live in a coral snake-heavy area.

Wow... that is scary. That needs to change. Why all of a sudden no more antivenom? I have a snake book that says Eastern Coral Snake venom was being used in research for cancer and AIDS... you'd think that with that, they would at least have antivenom

I have several friends that keep corals and I catch them from time to time too so this is bad news...
