Last night i decided to do a water change on my 155gal. It usually takes alittle while so i started watching tv. The tank is in the same room so its usually no big deal. Well then i decided to get some exercise in while im watching tv and then my friend text me so i started texting too. After a bit i sat on the floor and just happened to look over and 'holy sh*t!!' :WHOA: I flew out to the kitchen and reversed the syphon just in time as a few drips ran down the back of the tank. My husband heard me swearing and ran in the room(fastest i have ever seen him get off the comp. lol) and was like 'oh you better not have..' I swear i almost had a mini stroke. :nilly: The water was all the way up against the bottom of the glass tops and if id waited a few seconds longer it wouldve been a disaster and probably the end of me keeping large amounts of water in the living room. Just thinkin about it gets my heart racing again. I have never done that before and i plan on paying more attention from now on..or at least getting something that beeps when the water gets too high lol :grinno:

thats great! reminds me when i was filling my 150...i put the python tubing in , curled it a few times so that it wouldnt move. Started filling the tank. Watched it for like 20 mins...and it was like 1/2 way filled. I decided to go eat dinnner real quick. After dinner i decided to go downstairs to make sure everything was good....HOLY S$%^ the tubing fell out of the tank and was jsut watering the floor!!! It ended up being about 20 gallons on the carpet! Had to shop vav most of the evening, and put about 4 fans blowing all night!

Lesson learned...pay attention to what your doing, and watch when filling!! ;-)
