You need to realize that shipping any live stock is risky, curtailing all stingray shipping is not a good choice.

Atlantic Stingrays are the only rays Legal in Florida. If I was able to sell all river rays in the state of Florida, I would definately continue shipping rays and I would set rules for shipping rays. After dealing with my current issue with a customer One type of fish is not worth the heartache I have to deal with.

I stay busy selling the fish I have, I do not need one type of fish to make or break me. I do this because I enjoy providing customers with quality fish at reasonable prices. When I have to deal with "Do you know who I am" Customers and they try to pull their weight It no longer makes it enjoyable.

I am a very honest bussiness man and I try very hard to please everyone, however we all know that is not possible.

FYI: Anyone who is a dedicated hobbyist in this industry and deals with online livestock sales knows that if you recieve a Dead fish the first thing you do is take a picture of it in the UNOPENED bag in order for you to keep your live arrival guarantee. That is a standard practice in this bussiness.

If you are worried about scammers you should put in your policy that incase of a doa they should ship the ray back to you in a bag with table salt. The salt will maintain the ray for quite a while.

I have recieved alot of feedback on my new policy. With that said I think I am going to adopt Nate's policy and require that they cut the tail off and send it back to me. My last problem was not with a scammer, the customer is in fact a well known hobbyist who knows quite a bit about fish. They simply did not read our DOA Policy in full. I can not simply bend the rules for one and not the other. I may start shipping them again on a case by case basis. If there are people on here that are serious about these rays PM me and we may be able to work something out.
