After a quick search it seems the the highest temperature recorded was 136° F recorded at El Azizia, Libya, on Sept. 13, 1922. So it looks like your going to be breaking records. 176 F would be 80 C so you still have a ways to go.

Yup and Furnace Creek in Death Valley, CA is second in line!

I was in Scottsdale, AZ in the early 90's when it was 127. It's feels like you are in an oven!
