No pics, but trying to ID my minnow.

My daughter caught the fish and we brought it home as a pet. It's about an inch long, and has vertical stripes and a reddish tint in it's eyes. My first thought is a rock bass, but do smb have this reddish tint also when young?

It is not a lmb because there are none of these in the lake where it was caught. Do the stripes change as they mature?

The fish in this lake are smb, rock bass, perch, bluegill, walleye, pike, gar and muskie.

Welcome to MFK, i would guess a rock bass but there are some SMB that have red tints to thier eyes and have vertical strips around nine that come and go and 3 bars radiating from the eye but at 1" it would be easier to see a pic,
