No power for 24 hours

So I got a poster on my door this morning saying the power is going to be out for 24 hours starting 9pm tonight.

How can I get some air going ? It's a small tank, 25 gallons. I don't have a generator or anything like that, nothing battery operated, and it's not possible for me to sit up all night and stir my tank every 30 minutes to an hour.

Any ideas ?
 
More info about the tank would be helpful, like what's in the tank.

You could buy a batery powered air pump which is handy for emernecies in the future.

Depending on what's in there i'm not sure i would worry about 24 hours, leave lids off to help gas exchange. If you have jumps a screen of some sort would be good.
 
I just posted this on another sub-forum. Buy a cheap AC converter for a car (Best Buy/Walmart/Staples, etc. Then run an extension cord into the house. Your car battery becomes a big UPS. Just make sure to run the car a few minutes ever so often.
 
Depends on how heavily your tank is stocked. It might not be anything to worry about at all.
 
Worst case scenario, just bucket a bucket out of the tank the in again and do it that way, 24 hours should not be too bad bad depending on the stocking.
 
I've got bubble box's for power outages, got them in the livewell section of my local baitshop for like 7 bucks. If you are worried about the water parameters do a wc before and after the outage
 
If "The Kingdom of Loss" is in the eastern timezone, than the power is already off...and you can't read this. :nilly:


In that case, get some tooth picks and hot sauce. As they start to float, "harpoon" them and serve them up (they're still good).


If the power is still on and you can read this, I didn't write the crap in the previous paragraph. :grinno: That must have been someone else.

Run to Walmart and get a battery powered air pump in the fishing section. Also get some D batteries. Two will run the pump for 36 hours.
